YIkes, i have to write about myself…

I’m Shannon. I make a living working with animals. I have a 2 year old husky named Veronica. I live in the entertainment capital of the world, but was born in Portland, Oregon. I have a BS in Communication. I love to travel and have been to 24 states and 17 countries. Iceland is my favorite one. I like Van Gogh, Hemingway, eggnog, neon lights, and rearranging the art on my walls. I have purchased Skyrim 3 times for 3 different consoles. I hate pickles.

I’ve been taking photos for most of my adult life. I love creating. I like finding beauty where others haven’t. I used to have the slogan of “rarely serious photography” because taking photos should never be serious business. I like to laugh and I like to make everyone feel comfortable in front of the lens.

I make art. I draw digitally and handcraft everything — from pins to greeting cards. I draw a lot of pets. I enjoy coming up with new art and learning new techniques in Photoshop. Google says graphic design is “the process of visual communication and problem-solving through the use of typography, photography, iconography and illustration. The field is considered a subset of visual communication and communication design” and that’s what I do.
